North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton succumbs to Hoke County

December 29, 2023: Erwin, NC 28339

The Hoke County Bucks topped the host Triton Hawks basketball team by a final score of 60-44 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bucks face the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills game, on Friday, January 5. Hoke County will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Raiders enter the game with a 7-4 record after their 84-68 non-league loss to Cannon (Concord, NC).

With the defeat, Triton moves to 8-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC) to face the Firebirds in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 2. The Firebirds enter the game with a record of 5-5. Southern Nash lost 68-59 in their recent non-league game against Hunt (Wilson, NC)
