December 29, 2023: Marion, IL 62959 Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL), 64-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sterling upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Golden Warriors travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 13-0. Mt. Zion won 64-32 in their recent non-league bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 57-42 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
