University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), 61-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, University Prep upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Enterprise (Redding, CA) to clash with the Hornets in a Eastern bout on Saturday, December 30. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Enterprise won 58-44 in their recent non-league bout against Eureka (Eureka, CA)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Eureka Loggers (Eureka, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Mt. Shasta will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Loggers go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 58-44 non-league loss to Enterprise (Redding, CA).
