Eureka Loggers (Eureka, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eureka upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Loggers travel to Del Norte (Crescent City, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a Humboldt-Del Norte - Big 5 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-7.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Mt. Shasta will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 51-30 non-league loss to Orland (Orland, CA).
