The Newcomb Skyhawks basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Wingate Bears to 51 in the Skyhawks non-league victory on Friday.

The Skyhawks now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shiprock for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6.

The Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Many Farms (Many Farms, AZ). The Lobos come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Many Farms was defeated by Round Valley (Eagar, AZ), 72-32, in a league contest.
