December 29, 2023: Normal, IL 61761 The Tri-Valley Vikings basketball team (Downs, IL), was overwhelmed 59-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL)
The Pioneers now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springfield for a Central State Eight battle on Friday, January 5. Normal University will confront a Senators team coming off a 76-57 non-league loss to Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Senators record now stands at 3-8.
The Vikings (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Olympia was overwhelmed by Providence-St. Mel (Chicago, IL), 69-62, in a non-league battle.
