December 29, 2023: Rolla, ND 58367 North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] Cougars (Rolla, ND) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Velva Aggies (Velva, ND), 49-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bishop Ryan (Minot, ND) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Bishop Ryan won 52-47 in their recent non-league bout against South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND)
Next up, the Aggies play the St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Velva will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Woodchucks come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 50-48 non-league win over Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] (Leeds, ND).
