December 29, 2023: Pawnee City, NE 68420 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pawnee City Indians (Pawnee City, NE) and the visiting Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE), saw Pawnee City's basketball squad wallop Sterling by a tally of 59-29.
With the victory, Pawnee City improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Johnson-Brock (Johnson, NE) to confront the Eagles in a D1 District 1 challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-0.
Next up, the Jets confront the Dorchester Longhorns (Dorchester, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 57-29 non-league loss to Lewiston (Lewiston, NE).
