Arkansas High School Basketball - Westside holds off Batesville
December 29, 2023: Batesville, AR 72501 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR) and the host Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), saw Westside's basketball squad hold off Batesville by a tally of 70-66.
With the victory, Westside improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Greene County Tech won 58-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR)
Next up, the Pioneers confront the Greenbrier Panthers (Greenbrier, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Batesville will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 41-40 non-league loss to Beebe (Beebe, AR).
