Texas High School Basketball - Overton can't hold off Union Grove

The Union Grove Lions basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Overton Mustangs to 37 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ore City for a 2A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, January 2.

The Mustangs (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Alto (Alto, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A Region III District 22 test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Alto was tipped by Carlisle (Price, TX), 44-27, in a league test.
