Texas High School Basketball - Walnut Grove ripped by Tyler
December 29, 2023: Tyler, TX 75702 The Tyler Lions basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Walnut Grove Wildcats to 52 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Tree for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Tyler will meet a Pirates team coming off a 48-22 non-league win over Ford (Quinlan, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 9-9.
The Wildcats (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Centennial (Frisco, TX). The Titans enter the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 1-19 record.
