Texas High School Basketball - Walnut Grove knocked off by Lone Star
December 5, 2023: Prosper, TX 75078 The Lone Star Rangers basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Walnut Grove Wildcats to 30 in the Rangers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rangers now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prosper for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Lone Star will battle a Eagles team coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 12-3.
The Wildcats (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX). The Trail Blazers enter the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Lebanon Trail was defeated by Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX), 51-38, in a non-league contest.
