December 29, 2023: Raleigh, NC 27609 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) and the visiting Cary Imps (Cary, NC), saw Sanderson's basketball squad hold off Cary by a tally of 41-38.
With the victory, Sanderson improves its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Wake Forest lost 41-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA)
Next up, the Imps play the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Cary will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 36-34 non-league loss to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC).
