December 29, 2024: Charleston, WV 25311 The Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) basketball toppled the visiting Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV), 56-46 in Sunday's non-league contest.
The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Poca (Poca, WV). The The Dots go into the non-league contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Poca was toppled by Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV), 40-31, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Polar Bears confront the East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Fairmont Senior will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Bees go into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 64-55 non-league win over St. Albans (St. Albans, WV).
