Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) and the visiting Valley View Spartans (Germantown, OH), saw Monroe's basketball team gain a win over Valley View by a tally of 61-52.

The Hornets now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Little Miami for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 4. Monroe will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-37 league loss to Turpin (Cincinnati, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Talawanda (Oxford, OH). The Braves come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Talawanda dropped by Anderson (Cincinnati, OH), 64-49, in a non-league battle.
