In Saturday's non-league outing, the Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV) basketball squad edged the visiting Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV), by a count of 76-74.

The Grizzlies (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Reed (Sparks, NV). The Raiders go into the 5A Northern outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Reed was tipped by Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV), 78-71, in a non-league outing.

The Scorpions now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Tahoe for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. Sage Ridge will clash with a Lakers squad coming off a 60-22 non-league loss to Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Lakers record now stands at 0-1.
