Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA), 66-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northampton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Nansemond River lost 88-58 in their recent league bout against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA)

Next up, the Comets play the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Granby will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
