The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Roma Gladiators to 37 in the Hawks non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hawks now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kountze for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Hardin-Jefferson will battle a Lions team coming off a 73-68 non-league win over West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Lions record now stands at 6-4.

The Gladiators (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX). The Gators come into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Grulla was routed by La Joya (La Joya, TX), 75-32, in a non-league contest.
