Ohio High School Basketball - Lynchburg-Clay holds off Westfall
December 3, 2022: Lynchburg, OH 45142 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs (Lynchburg, OH) and the visiting Westfall Mustangs (Williamsport, OH), saw Lynchburg-Clay's basketball squad hold off Westfall by a tally of 54-52.
With the victory, Lynchburg-Clay improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Fayetteville-Perry (Fayetteville, OH) to confront the Rockets in a Southern Hills challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Fayetteville-Perry won 73-41 in their recent league challenge against Manchester (Manchester, OH)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH) in a Scioto Valley challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Westfall will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 71-27 league win over Huntington (Chillicothe, OH).
