Virginia High School Basketball - Woodberry Forest overwhelms New Covenant

December 3, 2022: Lynchburg, VA 24501

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Woodberry Forest Tigers (Woodberry Forest, VA) and the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), saw Woodberry Forest's basketball squad wallop New Covenant by a count of 76-45.

With the victory, Woodberry Forest upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA) to play the Caissons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Caissons come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Gryphons play the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA) in a VISAA Division III challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. New Covenant will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 67-52 non-league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA).
