Virginia High School Basketball - Hargrave Military Academy topples New Covenant

In Tuesday's league outing, the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers (Chatham, VA) basketball squad beat the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), by a count of 71-52.

The Tigers (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Caissons go into the Virginia Independent outing with a 6-11 record. In their last outing, Fishburne Military was topped by Carlisle (Axton, VA), 55-51, in a league outing.

The Gryphons now hold a 16-5 record. They play next when they host North Cross for a VISAA Division II outing on Thursday, February 2. New Covenant will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 66-45 non-league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-7.
