Texas High School Basketball - Prosper can't hold off Wylie
December 3, 2022: Prosper, TX 75078 The Wylie Pirates basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Prosper Eagles to 49 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Garland for a 6A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, December 6. Wylie will battle a Raiders team coming off a 41-40 non-league loss to Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 1-6.
The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Sherman was nudged by Tascosa (Amarillo, TX), 75-64, in a non-league contest.
