Illinois High School Basketball - Hillcrest tops Thornton
December 3, 2022: Harvey, IL 60426 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) and the host Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), saw Hillcrest's basketball squad knock off Thornton by a tally of 58-42.
With the victory, Hillcrest improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL) to play the Cardinals in a South Suburban - Red challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Blue Island Eisenhower lost 59-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Lemont (Lemont, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) in a Southland challenge, on Monday, December 5. Thornton will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Kays come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL).
