Wheeler Mustangs (Wheeler, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting McLean Tigers (McLean, TX), 51-48 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Wheeler advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Mustangs host Miami (Miami, TX) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 1-1. Miami won 53-21 in their recent non-league match against Accelerate Christian (Amarillo, TX)

The Tigers now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tournament Team for a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. McLean will face a squad coming off a 70-48 non-league win over Central Carolina Prep (Burlington, NC). The record now stands at 5-8.
