December 3, 2024: Trenton, NC 28585 The Jones Trojans basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Hobgood Charter Raiders to 40 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. Jones will confront a Spartans team coming off a 47-30 non-league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Hobgood Charter falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC) to confront the Husky in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Husky go into the game with a record of 0-4. North East Carolina Prep lost 63-49 in their recent non-league game against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)
