In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host South Brunswick Cougars basketball team scored a close 53-49 triumph over the Dixon Bulldogs.

The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators go into the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, East Columbus was nudged by West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC), 66-30, in a non-league match.
