The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) and the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), witnessed Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's basketball squad rout Mitchell by a count of 61-30.

With the victory, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy advances its record to 4-0 on the year. The Gryphons host Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, December 5. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 2-3. Sugar Creek Charter won 50-29 in their recent league challenge against Carolina International (Concord, NC)

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Mitchell will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Gryphons come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 63-28 non-league win over Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC).
