Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX) and the host Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX), saw Austin's basketball squad hold off Riverside by a tally of 48-42.

With the victory, Austin improves its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Panthers host Andress (El Paso, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Andress won 83-43 in their recent league challenge against Jefferson (El Paso, TX)
