December 30, 2021: Sundown, TX 79372 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) and the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), saw Floydada's basketball squad wallop Sundown by a tally of 67-29.
With the victory, Floydada improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Whirlwinds host Tahoka (Tahoka, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Tahoka lost 65-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Portales (Portales, NM)
Next up, the Roughnecks play the Ralls Jackrabbits (Ralls, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Sundown will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 78-33 non-league win over Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX).
