Texas High School Basketball - Stanton nips Sundown
December 31, 2021: Sundown, TX 79372 Stanton Buffaloes (Stanton, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), 31-29 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Stanton upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Jayton (Jayton, TX) to play the Jaybirds in a non-league bout on Monday, January 3. The Jaybirds come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Jayton won 49-23 in their recent non-league bout against Olney (Olney, TX)
Next up, the Roughnecks play the Ralls Jackrabbits (Ralls, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Sundown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 78-33 non-league win over Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX).
