North Carolina High School Basketball - West Cabarrus nipped by South Mecklenburg

The South Mecklenburg Sabres tipped the host West Cabarrus Wolverines basketball team by a final score of 67-64 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Sabres face the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 49 game, on Tuesday, January 4. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 9-2 record after their 65-55 non-league win over Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC).

With the defeat, West Cabarrus moves to 6-7 on the year. The Wolverines host A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC) to face the Wonders in a 4A Conference 57 game on Tuesday, January 4.
