December 29, 2021: Kimberly, AL 35091 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils (Kimberly, AL) and the visiting Chelsea Hornets (Chelsea, AL), saw Mortimer Jordan's basketball squad hold off Chelsea by a tally of 42-38.
With the victory, Mortimer Jordan improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL) to play the Indians in a 6A Area 12 challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 0-10. Pinson Valley lost 51-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Calera (Calera, AL)
Next up, the Hornets play the Priceville Bulldogs (Priceville, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 30. Chelsea will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 53-46 non-league win over Fairview (Cullman, AL).
