December 30, 2022: Alvord, TX 76225 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Alvord Bulldogs (Alvord, TX) and the visiting Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), saw Alvord's basketball squad overcome Bland by a tally of 56-36.
With the victory, Alvord improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Covenant Classical (Fort Worth, TX) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 31. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Covenant Classical won 62-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity Valley (Fort Worth, TX)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Bland will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 77-69 non-league loss to Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX).
