The Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX) basketball knocked off the host Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 52-33 in Tuesday's league test.

The Rebels (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region II District 14 test with a 3-17 record. In their last test, Whitewright went down by Celeste (Celeste, TX), 60-19, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 11-16 record. They play next when they travel to Tom Bean for a 2A Region II District 14 test on Friday, January 20. Bland will encounter a Tomcats squad coming off a 32-28 league win over Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX). The Tomcats record now stands at 8-16.
