Texas High School Basketball - Bridge City holds off Pollok Central
December 30, 2022: Pollok, TX 75969 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX) and the host Pollok Central Bulldogs (Pollok, TX), saw Bridge City's basketball squad hold off Pollok Central by a tally of 50-48.
With the victory, Bridge City improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX) to confront the Bears in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Little Cypress-Mauriceville lost 64-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Pollok Central will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 57-50 non-league loss to Crockett (Crockett, TX).
