December 30, 2022: Haines, AK 99827 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) and the host Haines Glacier Bears (Haines, AK), saw South Anchorage's basketball squad wallop Haines by a tally of 56-33.
With the victory, South Anchorage improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to confront the Mustangs in a 4A Cook Inlet challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Chugiak lost 82-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK)
Next up, the Glacier Bears confront the Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, AK) in a 2A Southeast challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Haines will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 75-36 non-league loss to Thunder Mountain (Juneau, AK).
