The Matawan Regional Huskies basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Hamilton Hornets to 45 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holmdel for a Shore A - Central contest on Tuesday, January 3. Matawan Regional will meet a Hornets team coming off a 85-58 non-league loss to St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 3-2.
The Hornets (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against West Windsor-Plainsboro North (Plainsboro, NJ). The Knights enter the Colonial Valley contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, West Windsor-Plainsboro North nudged STEMCivics (Ewing, NJ), 78-21, in a non-league contest.
