The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings (Akron, IN) basketball nudged the host Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN), 59-52 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Vikings now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northfield for a Three Rivers contest on Friday, January 6. Tippecanoe Valley will battle a Norsemen team coming off a 64-44 non-league loss to Southwood (Wabash, IN). The Norsemen record now stands at 2-7.

The Wildcats (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN). The Warriors enter the Greater South Shore contest with a 6-4 record.
