Kentucky High School Basketball - Lyon County holds off Mason County
December 30, 2022: Eddyville, KY 42038 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lyon County Lyons (Eddyville, KY) and the visiting Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY), saw Lyon County's basketball squad hold off Mason County by a tally of 92-85.
With the victory, Lyon County improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Lyons travel to Hopkinsville (Hopkinsville, KY) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Hopkinsville lost 89-61 in their recent non-league challenge against DeSales (Louisville, KY)
Next up, the Royals confront the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 2. Mason County will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 68-56 non-league loss to Alcoa (Alcoa, TN).
