Texas High School Basketball - Nueces Canyon overwhelmed by Water Valley
December 30, 2022: Barksdale, TX 78828 The Nueces Canyon Panthers basketball team (Barksdale, TX), was overwhelmed 67-17 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Water Valley Wildcats (Water Valley, TX)
The Wildcats now possess a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sonora for a 2A Region I District 7 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Water Valley will confront a Broncos team coming off a 47-38 non-league loss to Bronte (Bronte, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 3-7.
The Panthers (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX). The Angoras come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Rocksprings was overwhelmed by Christoval (Christoval, TX), 53-50, in a non-league battle.
