In Friday's non-league outing, the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Whitehouse Wildcats (Whitehouse, TX), by a margin of 47-40.

The Roughriders (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Panthers go into the 4A Region III District 17 outing with a 11-11 record. In their last outing, Spring Hill was tipped by White Oak (White Oak, TX), 38-37, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 7-15 record. They play next when they host Texas for a 5A Region II District 15 outing on Tuesday, January 3. Whitehouse will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 53-51 league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-8.
