Texas High School Basketball - Ore City holds off Elysian Fields
December 30, 2022: Ore City, TX 75683 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ore City Rebels (Ore City, TX) and the visiting Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), saw Ore City's basketball squad hold off Elysian Fields by a tally of 33-30.
With the victory, Ore City improves its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Union Grove (Gladewater, TX) to confront the Lions in a 2A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. Union Grove lost 39-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Center (Center, TX)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Tatum Eagles (Tatum, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Elysian Fields will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 47-39 non-league loss to Normangee (Normangee, TX).
