Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) and the host Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS), saw Simmons's basketball squad wallop Humphreys County by a tally of 49-23.

With the victory, Simmons improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to McEvans (Shaw, MS) to confront the Warriors in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. McEvans won 55-41 in their recent non-league challenge against North Side (Shelby, MS)
