The North Forsyth Raiders basketball team (Cumming, GA), was nudged 45-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA)

The Chiefs now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Allatoona for a AAAAAA Region 6 battle on Wednesday, January 4. Sequoyah will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 53-33 non-league loss to Lassiter (Marietta, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-6.

The Raiders (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA). The Longhorns come into the AAAAAA Region 8 battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Lanier edged Franklin County (Carnesville, GA), 47-27, in a non-league battle.
