South Dakota High School Basketball - Vermillion tops West Central
December 30, 2022: Vermillion, SD 57069 Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD), 43-32 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Vermillion upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Tanagers travel to Tea (Tea, SD) to play the Titans in a A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Tea won 56-53 in their recent non-league bout against Campbell County (Gillette, WY)
Next up, the Trojans play the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. West Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 60-34 non-league win over Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD).
