Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD), 58-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vermillion upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Tanagers host West Central (Hartford, SD) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD) in a A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Tri-Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
