South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC), 35-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Rowan upgrades its record to 2-8 on the season. The Raiders host Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Mount Pleasant lost 38-32 in their recent non-league bout against Robinson (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Falcons play the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. West Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 66-28 non-league win over Langtree Charter (Mooresville, NC).
