Texas High School Basketball - Venus nudges Da Vinci
December 30, 2023: El Paso, TX 79912 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Da Vinci Dragons (El Paso, TX), by a margin of 45-43.
The Bulldogs (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region II District 10 outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Life Waxahachie got by Ferris (Ferris, TX), 47-33, in a league outing.
The Dragons now own a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Americas for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 2. Da Vinci will clash with a Trail Blazers squad coming off a 39-37 non-league loss to Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 18-2.
