December 30, 2023: Opelousas, LA 70570 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) and the host Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA), saw Edna Karr's basketball squad hold off Northwest by a tally of 52-47.
With the victory, Edna Karr improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Jesuit (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Blue Jays in a 5A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Blue Jays come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Jesuit lost 45-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Regis (New York, NY)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Eunice Bobcats (Eunice, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 61-52 non-league win over Mamou (Mamou, LA).
