December 28, 2023: Opelousas, LA 70570 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA) and the visiting Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats (New Orleans, LA), saw Northwest's basketball squad hold off Frederick A. Douglass by a tally of 55-48.
With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Edna Karr won 72-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Frederick A. Douglass will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record.
